HOWCC Vision Statement:
To bring Christ to people, community and cities because… “the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow to them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for morning, and a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair. They will be called mighty oaks, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” – Isaiah 61:1-3
We believe in God the father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit. That our God is mighty and glorious and that He created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)
We believe that for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,(Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in him shall not perish but will have eternal life.(John 3:16)
We believe that through Jesus we will be baptised in the Holy Spirit and and we shall be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8) and When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, there is a manifestation. (Acts 2:4)
We believe in the Great Commission, that God gave us the task to preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:19)
We believe in the Bible, the word of God. That all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness and contains the powerful promises of God that will equip us to become an overcomer. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe in the concept of the Church, where believers meet to celebrate and worship our Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)
We believe in the power of Jesus Christ that heals the sick, that set captives free, that restores souls, breaks every bondage, transforms lives and lead us back to repentance and does the possible which is impossible with men will manifest in the church today as we continue to put our faith and trust to him that is able. (Matthew 10:8)
